A disturbing case of animal cruelty is coming out of Farmall, South Africa. Someone bound the legs of a husky with wire and attempted to drown him. The dog was seen by a pedestrian walking across the Watercombe Road bridge. With the help of some other people, they were able to pull the husky, named Spirit, out of the water.
At the Blue Bush Animal Clinic, the dog was found to be hypothermic, had inhaled water, and was exhausted. Spirit had a deep injury to his legs that was probably from illegal poaching.
They think the dog got caught in a snare and when the person came and saw that the dog wasn’t something they wanted, they bound him and tried to drown him. The SPCA Randburg is asking the public to help identify the person responsible.
They are understandably outraged at the level of cruelty. Share away, people.
