Helpless Puppy Had Nowhere To Go, So He Found Warmth In A Nativity Scene’s Manger.

Homeless animals will find anything to serve as their shelter when they have nowhere else to go. Especially during the holiday season, all they need is a bit of warmth to help them get through the night before they move on to somewhere else in search of food. But here’s one pooch who took shelter in one of the most fitting places for Christmas.

Back in 2008 in Brazil, this dog had nowhere else to go, and saw refuge in… a nativity scene.

It’s only fitting that this homeless pooch would take a lesson from Mary and Joseph and consider the makeshift stable as a wonderful temporary home to sleep in, surrounded by plastic animals for company and angel to watch over him while he slept.

He couldn’t have a better pair of eyes to ensure that he stayed safe. Spectators came the next day to see the wonderful nativity scene, and found the German Shepherd puppy curled up, sound asleep, next to the baby Jesus in his manger.

There were plenty of “awww”s to be had, as well as pictures being taken of the scene.

We can only hope that someone opened their heart and home to the homeless puppy and provided him with some good holiday cheer that year and since then. Who could ignore that sweet, adorable face?

These sweet images that have been shared around the world thousands of times are a reminder of how compassionate we should be this holiday season, especially to those who are in need. Share away, people!
