Some stories just downright amaze me. This is one of them. Back in January, a resident of East Cleveland discovered something horrible. A three year old Pit Bull/Boxer mix had been shot in the head. Not just once, but three times.
Then, that dog was left on the shoulder of the road to die. The resident quickly called for Animal Control, and those officers took the dog to the Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter. There, the dog was named Colt, and Colt did something unbelievable. He lived.
He underwent surgery to fix his nose and jaw which had both been shattered. He underwent a second procedure to amputate on of his front limbs that had been injured. Private donors funded these procedures, and Colt fought his way through them and through the brutal recovery process after each surgery.
Now Colt is going to do one last amazing thing. He’s going to be adopted. If you or anyone you know is interested in giving this pup a second chance to life please visit the shelter’s website or call them at 216-525-7877. Share away, people.
